Colne Valley Garden Centre has been in Golcar, Huddersfield, for more than 30 years. We bring together a knowledgeable team and diverse range of plants and shrubs specially selected to grow well in our weather and and local area offering inspiration and helping to transform your dreams into beautiful spaces.
Our goal is to stock a wide range of plants and mid/large shrubs at great value prices, which are lower than you would typically find at other garden centres.
Terracotta pots from large to small, glazed and unglazed help you make the most of growing plants on patios.
We have seeds, bulbs, fertilisers to help them grow and bug and weedkillers to protect them, and the tools you need to care for them.
We are strong advocates of recycling, growing your own food and avoiding waste.
Our cafe, is themed as a garden shed, is dog friendly and provides refreshing coffee and tea, cakes and hot meals.
We are a local family owned business, that works to support the local community with events, including displays of local art groups work, performance by musicians from the area and charity events.

Damien5 StarTook my grandad out for a father's day lunch and I was not expecting such great meals and at such low prices. Just perfect managed to meet some old friends too.
My grandad loved it, I loved it and my family loved it. It will always be one of our greatest lunches out!!!Sunday 9th June 2024

Ellie3 StarEnjoy breakfast in the restaurant, prices are good, nice choice of plants and garden accessories. Owner said hopefully 5* next time. Improve service in the restaurant and it will be. Waiting 10mins to place an order when there's only 1 person in front of you and the restaurant is almost empty loses 1 star, attention to detail ie dirty cups loses 1*Saturday 15th June 2024
Matthew Stowell5 StarI'd been to 4 other garden centres to find a couple of rosemary plants ' to which I had no luck in finding anything ! But with 1 easy phone call they had what I wanted plus more ! They even put them to me side for me ! Excellent service, friendly staff and a wide range of stock , a little gem in a rock of garden centres, well worth a visit.Monday 24th June 2024
Nana Baba3 StarAlways a bit disappointed when I visit here. The cafe is hit n miss usually staffing problems. The garden centre is expensive and limited compared to others. I like that it's independent though(at least I think it still is) so I do try to support it. There needs to be more staff and maybe be a little friendlier.Thursday 30th May 2024
